Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health is a community health service with dedicated staff who focus on promoting and protecting the health of our community. We offer programs that: promote healthy infant and child development, responsive parenting, positive mental, reproductive, sexual and dental health; prevent cancer, heart disease, substance abuse, tobacco use and injuries; protect our communities from communicable and infectious disease, and environmental hazards such as contaminated food and water. WDG Public Health offers clinics, classes, and courses for a wide range of people, including parents and parents-to-be, teenagers, travellers, health promoters, and food handlers. Clinic, classes and courses offered include: Food Handler Training; Immunization Clinics; Parenting Classes, Clinics and Services - prenatal and parent-child support programs for families and caregivers with children 0-6 years old; Sexual Health Clinics and Services - provide free and confidential services including STI testing, counselling, and birth control options.
