Homewood Community Addiction Services (CADS) is a community out-patient program that provides a wide range of services for individuals struggling with addiction issues. Homewood Community Addiction Services is part of the Homewood Addiction Division, which offers a seamless integrated delivery system. Programs and services are offered for all populations, and cover a continuum of care, from health promotion activities to assessment and out-patient counselling, to residential treatment. CADS is client-focused and works closely with the community to provide quality programming and services. Family Services (adult) include: Family counselling; The Family Program a 2-day workshop; The Family Support Group and The Adult Children of Alcoholics Group. Children's Services (ages 5-11): Values, Influence and Peers (VIP) - covers the risks of alcohol and drugs. Youth Services (ages 12-18): A Young Peoples Family Program is offered for youth ages 12 - 18 years of age, who have grown up in a chemically dependent family. CADS services are offered at all high schools in Guelph and Wellington County and two schools in Dufferin County. First Contact and Discovery Groups are offered at the schools. Problem Gambling Program: Homewood Community Addiction Services offers assessment, referral and counselling for individuals and/or families affected by gambling. Problem Gambling Education Group - Phase 1 and 2; Problem Gambling Support Group; Relapse Prevention Group; Gambling Craving Helpline: 519-824-1010 Extension: 2673 - a recorded message with two options for information.
